Yateley kebab company 'delighted' to win national award
Ace 4 Kebabs won the Outstanding Contribution to the Kebab Industry category in the British Kebab Awards 2016 on March 23.
Representatives from the victorious company, based in Tuscany Way, Blackbushe Business Park, were presented with their trophy at a ceremony in London’s Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.
General manager Andy Woods said it was ‘great news for the local community’.
“The evening was attended by over 1,100 people within the industry from right across the supply chain to fork or pitta and our category was very strong,” he said.
“We were presented with the award by Scott Mills and Chris Stark from BBC Radio 1, who had been championing the awards all week.
“It was the biggest prize of the night and they were asked as guests of honour to present it, so it makes it even more rewarding.
“The event was also attended by many MPs and Jeremy Corbyn also presented an award.”
Mr Woods said with more than 50 years’ experience in the meat industry , the company has spent the last 19 developing what it believes to be the UK’s best kebabs.
“Our products are of the highest quality and this is supported by our extensive customer base from all over the UK and Europe,” he added.
“We produce a variety of kebabs, using lamb, beef and chicken, which we blend with the finest herbs and spices.
“We are delighted as a local business to be named winners at such a prestigious industry event and the award is testament to all the team here at Ace 4 Kebabs.”
Production manager Dean Dryden, added: “It is nice to see how much the company has grown from the humble beginnings of our factory in Bagshot to where Ace 4 Kebabs is today.
“To maintain the longstanding relationships we have with our distributors and customers, it is important we are able to consistently meet their demands in a timely and cost effective manner, and the award shows we are doing this consistently.
“It makes me and all our staff feel proud to win such a prestigious award.”
