These are the Hertfordshire restaurants battling it out at the British Kebab Awards
Restaurants in Hertford, Stortford and Stevenage have been nominated
Another year and another British Kebab Awards has come around and this time there are plenty of Hertfordshire restaurants to vote for and try out.
Hertfordshire's restaurants have had success at the awards in the past as last year Turkish restaurant Veysos Brasserie, on Fore Street in Hertford, clinched the best fine dining restuarant title.
It was an impressive accolade for the restaurant which had only opened six months before nominations opened.
What are the British Kebab Awards?
The British Kebab Awards were set up six years ago to recognise the dedication of local kebab takeaways and restaurant owners around the country.
These awards are meant to be a thank you for those 'unsung heroes' who work in kebab businesses across the country, the awards website states.
They are run in association with Just Eat and feature 16 different categories ranging from regional and nationwide awards.
The winners will get their award presented to them at an awards ceremony.
The awards are made up of a series of categories including Just East best delivery, customer satisfaction, best value, fine dining, kebab van of the Year, best newcomer, supplier, and chef of the year.
There are also regional categories for best takeaway, kebab house and restaurant.
In fact Misya Meze & Grill in Stevenage has been nominated for two awards - customer satisfaction and chef of the year.
