This informal Turkish restaurant serves classic Mediterranean dishes in a busy dining room – and comes top of the list on TripAdvisor.
You can find it on King Street, not far from the King Street Run pub.
Efes is open from 12noon until 2.30pm and 6pm to 11pm Monday to Friday. On weekends, it’s open from 12noon until 11pm.
People on TripAdvisor say you MUST visit Efes – and it’s also perfect for a quick and tasty bite.

2. The Gardenia Restaurant

If you're peckish at any hour - it's safe to say it’s probably open.

This restaurant is also a definite contender for one of the best kebabs – their chef Bektas Avci has even made the shortlist for the 2018 British Kebab Awards.

The Merhaba, which opened in 2013, has 242 reviews and is ranked 4 out of 5.
Even better than that, it’s open 12noon until 12am every day of the week.

This eatery boasts “seriously tasty” kebabs, and if you’re close by is definitely worth a visit.

OK, so this one on our list IS a kebab van – but it has some seriously good grub.
The Diamond Kebab van also beat thousands of others to be shortlisted for the best kebab van of the year in the British Kebab Awards 2018.

This kebab van opens from 5pm to 1am on Friday and Saturday – and 5pm to 3.30am every other day of the week.
