The shortlist is out for the awards - now in their fifth year - and a few familiar Manchester kebab shops and restaurants have made it on.

Seref Dursun of Topkapi Palace on Deansgate is up for chef of the year, where he'll go up against Erhan Karakoc, head chef of Royton's Istanblue - among others.

Kebabalicious in Wythenshawe flies the flag for Manchester in the Just Eat Best Delivery category.

Turkish Delight on Barlow Moor Road, Topkapi Palace in Prestwich represent the North West in the Best Regional Kebab House category and Istanblue goes for a second award in the Best Newcomer Restaurant/Takeaway Outside London list. Istanblue is also gunning for a gong in the Fine Dining Restaurant category.

In the Best Takeaway Regional category, Panicos on Barlow Moor Road is one of the North West nominees.

The winners will be revealed on the night of the British Kebab Awards which will take place at London's Westminster Park Plaza Hotel on 26th February 2017.
