Have any of Leicester's kebab shops made the cut at the British Kebab Awards?
Did your favourite takeaway or van make the grade?
It is nearly time to find out which of Britain's kebab shops are a cut above the rest.
The finalists for the British Kebab Awards 2018 have been announced.
For connoisseurs, a great kebab does not mark the end of a night on the tiles in Leicester but the spicy-meat-themed climax and there are a number of great kebaberies in the city centre.
But can any of of kebab shops compete on the national stage and make it into one of the 16 categories at the annual kebab awards?
The answer, sadly, is no. Leicester has this year been snubbed.
In the East Midlands, just one outlet from Derbyshire has made it to the final and one from Nottingham has made the top ten in their respective categories.
Members of the public nominated 5,012 of their favourite kebab shops.
These were whittled down to a shortlist of 153 based on the number of public votes received with bonus points for nominations from MPs and councillors.
